On January 1st, 2023, Croatia became the 20th member of the eurozone, replacing its kuna with the euro. The kuna can be used alongside the euro until January 15th, before being completely replaced by the euro. The kuna will be exchanged at a conversion rate of €1 to HRK7.5. According to the European Commission 70% of ATMs in the country already distribute euros.
